As a former competitive swimmer, cross-country runner, and triathlete, my enthusiasm for wellness began to take shape at a very early age. Whether it was always wandering into the 'natural food' aisle of any grocery store or experimenting with different cooking techniques, my passion was inevitably going to turn into a career. I went on to pursue an undergraduate background in Exercise Science and Wellness Management from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. It was during college that I truly realized the importance link between mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
With a strong willingness to help people, I later obtained a degree in Occupational Therapy from Philadelphia University. As a Licensed and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L), I worked in the corporate healthcare industry to help patients fulfill a life of functional and physical independence. It was through this work that I was able to understand what can happen if we choose a more sedentary lifestyle and give little thought to what we are putting into our bodies.
Prevention, supporting & enhancing mental well-being, and empowering others to take care of their bodies and minds through regular exercise, proper nutrition, and mindfulness quickly became my life’s mission.
As I began to heal my own body through nutrition & lifestyle changes, I continued to pursue my passion for mental and physical wellness. I am currently certified as a Health Coach through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), Reiki Master Practitioner, Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider, and 200-hour Yoga Teacher. Every year I complete numerous hours of continuing education to keep up-to-date on the latest research in the field.
It is through my holistic wellness practice that I support and help women enhance their mental, physical and emotional well-being through real, nourishing foods, regular movement, stress-reducing mindfulness techniques, and Reiki energy healing.
